## Description

Familie van der Molen, originating from Winschoten in Groningen, is dedicated to preserving and sharing family genealogy. The website vdrmolen.com focuses on the extensive lineage of the van der Molen family, along with related surnames such as Filarski, Zwager, Cerfontaine, and Tijsse-Klasen. This initiative gathered momentum in the mid-20th century when family members dispersed across the Netherlands, Canada, and later Germany. The platform aims to document, exchange, and expand genealogical data while fostering family connections that often only surface during significant events like funerals and holidays. The site emphasizes privacy, complying with the Protection of Personal Data Act by restricting access to information about living individuals. Engaging tools such as software and resources like Webtrees and Gramps are available for genealogical research. For those curious about their ancestry, the site offers opportunities to discover family histories, inviting members to join and contribute to the ever-growing family tree.
