## Description

Volunteer Equine Advocates (VEA) is a Tennessee nonprofit dedicated to promoting and protecting the welfare of horses, mules, ponies, and donkeys. Since 2003, the IRS 501(c)(3) organization has provided a safe haven and support for equines in need, working with law enforcement on animal cruelty cases and caring for abused, neglected, and abandoned animals.

VEA supports rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming for seized equines. Animals that cannot be rehabilitated enough to enter new homes may remain in the organization’s Care for Life program. VEA also works to educate current and future horse owners about responsible ownership.

Community involvement is central to its work. Supporters can donate through options including Butter, PayPal, Venmo, and in-kind gifts, or purchase needed supplies through the organization’s Amazon and Walmart wish lists. Volunteers are also invited to join the team by submitting an application. Based in Gallatin, Tennessee, Volunteer Equine Advocates offers a practical way for individuals to help protect equines across the state.
