## Description

VeBeS vzw, the Association of Blind and Visually Impaired People Licht en Liefde, is a Belgian organisation supporting people with sight loss. It helps members address the practical and social challenges of living with limited or no vision, with the aim of promoting greater independence, participation and freedom of movement. Its work includes advocacy on behalf of people with visual impairments, raising public awareness and sharing information about accessibility and eye conditions.

VeBeS also brings people together through regional activities, events, holidays and social gatherings. Its programme includes opportunities to learn, take part in hobbies and enjoy cultural activities, as well as informal moments to meet others and build friendships. The organisation welcomes volunteers and offers ways to support its work, including becoming a volunteer, a sympathising member or making a gift or bequest. Through news, articles, interviews, practical tips and volunteer opportunities, VeBeS provides information for people with sight loss and those interested in supporting them. Its website also lists upcoming activities and contact details for its regional network.
