## Description

Vegetarian South is a food and lifestyle blog created by Erin Crutchfield, celebrating Southern culinary traditions through approachable, plant-based cooking. Inspired by Erin’s upbringing in the South and her transition to a vegetarian lifestyle in 2010, the blog shows how familiar regional flavors can be enjoyed without making meat the focus. Its recipes include vegan adaptations of Southern favorites, seasonal dishes, and ideas for both longtime vegetarians and people exploring more plant-based meals.

Visitors can browse recipes for main dishes, side dishes, appetizers and snacks, breakfast and brunch, and desserts, along with lifestyle content, cooking stories, and helpful tips. Featured dishes range from vegetarian vegetable soup, green bean casserole, and cornbread breakfast casserole to vegan drop biscuits and country gravy. The site aims to make trying new foods simple, flavorful, and stress-free while honoring Southern food heritage and regional produce. Readers can also subscribe by email to receive notifications about new posts. Vegetarian South offers inspiration for everyday meals, holiday tables, and comforting meatless versions of classic Southern cooking.
