## Description

Velontra is an American aerospace propulsion company focused on rapidly developing low-cost jet engines and next-generation propulsion technologies. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, it positions itself as a catalyst for renewed innovation in an industry it views as slow and risk-averse. The company draws inspiration from the ambitious aerospace achievements of the 1960s, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, the SR-71, and crewed lunar missions, and advocates a return to risk-tolerant development and rapid iteration. Velontra’s stated goal is to reduce engine costs and shorten time to market through this approach.

Its propulsion capabilities span multiple speed regimes. For subsonic applications, it offers low-cost turbojet engines designed for unmanned systems. Its supersonic work centers on high-performance engines for advanced platforms, while its hypersonic efforts focus on next-generation propulsion technology. Velontra invites prospective collaborators and interested individuals to get in touch, and also offers branded gear and swag. The company provides information about its team, aircraft, news, and careers through its website.
