## Description

Vesilahden Seudun Ratsastajat ry, known as VESRA, is a Finnish riding club that began operating in early 2004. With around 100 members, the association welcomes competitive riders, enthusiastic volunteers, recreational equestrians and members who simply want to be part of the community. Its activities bring together people with varied levels of involvement and experience in riding and horse care.

VESRA organizes club and regional equestrian competitions, riding coaching, public events, educational sessions and excursions. Members can also take part in lectures and other social activities. Membership benefits include the Finnish Equestrian Federation’s HIPPOS magazine, published six times a year for eligible members, and Pohjola Sporttiturva insurance for situations related to riding and horse care. Members receive a federation membership card with associated benefits and may complete federation riding and horsemanship proficiency tests. Eligible members can also obtain regional or national competition licences, with family membership limited to the regional licence. Through its events, services and member benefits, VESRA supports equestrian participation and community life in the Vesilahti area.
