## Description

Veterans Community Project (VCP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness. Their mission is to provide transitional housing and access to service solutions for Veterans in need. Founded in 2016 by a group of combat Veterans in Kansas City, Missouri, VCP is driven by the belief that a Veteran is anyone who has served and protected the Constitution, regardless of discharge status or type of service. VCP operates with a set of core values, including serving Veterans with dignity, humility, and honesty, adapting to their individual needs, and investing in their long-term welfare and success. They believe in forgiveness and redemption, holding Veterans and each other accountable. The organization also recognizes the importance of community support. They harness the collective power and capacity of the community to serve Veterans, collaborating rather than competing with others. Their team is motivated by compassion and the sacred rule of leaving no one behind. To support their mission, VCP offers various ways for individuals to get involved, including volunteering, donating goods, hosting events, and planning service projects. They also have a shop where you can purchase VCP merchandise. By providing housing and community support, Veterans Community Project empowers Veterans so they can thrive and succeed with the strength and support of the community.
