## Description

Vets Beyond Borders is an Australian animal welfare charity and registered not-for-profit working to improve the wellbeing of animals and people in developing communities. It supports animal welfare projects in areas where veterinary assistance is urgently needed, deploying experienced volunteer veterinarians and veterinary nurses to partner organisations around the world. Through VetMatch, the charity connects volunteers with partner projects and helps extend access to essential veterinary care.

Vets Beyond Borders also delivers VetTrain, providing free clinical training courses for veterinarians and veterinary nurses in regions where continuing professional education is difficult to access or afford. Its Australian Veterinary Emergency Response Team, known as AVERT, maintains a nationwide database of veterinary professionals ready to assist emergency response officials after natural disasters or emergency animal disease outbreaks.

The organisation invites individuals and organisations to contribute through donations, volunteering, membership and other forms of support. These contributions help sustain and expand its programs in places with significant need.
