## Description

Vevelstad Historielag is a local history association focused on preserving and sharing the heritage of Vevelstad, Norway. Its website brings together news, photographs, image galleries, information about the local heritage museum, genealogy resources, publications, and contact details. Visitors can explore both identified and unidentified photographs and learn about the Bygdetunet, the association’s local history site, including its opening hours.

The association also produces publications that document the area’s cultural history. In 2025, it released three publications. One featured project is a book with photographs of selected cultural heritage sites and objects included in Vevelstad municipality’s cultural heritage plan, adopted in December 2017. The site also highlights a memorial stone installed at Vevelstad Bygdetun in 2016 for the municipality’s centenary, honoring Arnt O. Åsvang, and a bust of Åsvang described as the father of the Bygdetun. The association continues to welcome contributions toward funding the bust. Through its collections, publications, and genealogy offerings, Vevelstad Historielag supports local history and community engagement.
