## Description

Associação Vezeira de Fafião is a community association based in Fafião, in the parish of Cabril, Montalegre, Portugal. Through its work at the Vezeira e a Serra branch of the Ecomuseum of Barroso, it helps share the area’s traditions, natural heritage and rural way of life with residents and visitors. The association promotes local projects, including the Vezeira da Rés and an animal-adoption initiative supporting Fafião’s native Cabra Bravia goat. Its website introduces the village and surrounding landscape, with information about wildlife, plants, mountains and cultural traditions. Visitors can explore walking routes such as the Trilho da Vezeira and Trilho do Medronheiro, as well as activities including water walking and mountain expeditions. The association also publicises events, exhibitions and tourism activities, and provides information about accommodation and dining in the area. By welcoming community groups, scouts and tourists, and working with tourism partners, Vezeira de Fafião connects people with the heritage and landscapes of the region.
