## Description

VG-Project e.V. is a Cologne-based organisation dedicated to building an inclusive society through sport, with a particular focus on athletes with intellectual disabilities. Guided by the principle that inclusion should be practised rather than merely discussed, it develops training, coaching and support structures that enable participation from grassroots activity to high-performance competition. Its work includes the Kölner 3 Phasen Konzept and initiatives in para-judo and other BUDO sports, bringing athletes with and without disabilities together to train, learn and compete. The organisation’s approach centres on respect, safety, technical development and personal growth, while connecting sport with social, medical and community partners. Through the Sportcampus Bushido and wider projects, VG-Project has helped create accessible sporting environments and models of support for para-athletes, including pathways toward sustainable professional sport. Its activities have contributed to notable achievements, including German championship success for the PARAJUDO mixed team and the 2017 para-judo world title won by Theo Lavasas. VG-Project promotes dignity, opportunity and shared achievement through sport.
