## Description

The Verband der Hochschullehrerinnen und Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. (VHB) is a German academic association bringing together around 3,000 researchers and teachers in business administration. Its members share an interest in advancing research and teaching, and the association represents the discipline’s diverse fields while strengthening their visibility in business and society. The VHB describes itself as a platform for scholarly exchange, professional networking and support for researchers at different career stages.

The association organises conferences and other events, including VHB Tagungen and gatherings run by its scientific commissions. Its ProDok and ProCareer programmes support academic development and early-career researchers, with doctoral courses, career resources and related opportunities. Members and the wider academic community can also access VHB experts, the VHB Rating of academic journals, information on scholarly performance, newsletters and a university job board. The VHB publishes guidance and materials on research ethics and good academic practice, and shares statements and positions on issues affecting higher education and business research.
