VHTO is an expert center dedicated to promoting gender diversity in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Through research-based interventions in education, for employers, and within society, VHTO aims to increase the participation of girls and women in STEM. Their offerings include a range of activities and programs aimed at breaking gender stereotypes and encouraging girls and women to explore and pursue careers in beta, technology, and IT.

They provide free guest lectures by women working in these fields for primary and secondary school students, allowing them to discover technical professions and challenge preconceived notions. VHTO also offers Spiegelbeeld, a role model database featuring over 2,000 female professionals and students, who are passionate about inspiring young girls by sharing their experiences in STEM. Through partnerships with various organizations, VHTO reaches thousands of students every year, empowering them to consider the possibilities within STEM.
