## Description

Viaowl is an email service designed to help individuals, families and teams spot scams and protect their privacy. Its watchful inbox checks suspicious messages, explains warning signs in plain language and can hold questionable emails for review rather than sending them straight to the bin. Link x-ray reveals where links really lead and flags deceptive addresses, while tracker blocking removes spy pixels and tracking tags before a message opens.

Viaowl also offers quiet hours that silence notifications without delaying incoming mail, with exceptions for chosen senders. Members can use a Viaowl address or import older messages from Gmail, Outlook or iCloud. The service supports IMAP and SMTP, so users can continue using standard email apps; some features, including link x-ray, require Viaowl’s web or mobile app.

Viaowl says its checks run on its own servers in Norway, mail is encrypted at rest, and messages are not used for advertising or passed to third parties.
