## Description

Vici.org is an online archaeological atlas that presents historical and archaeological locations through an interactive map. Visitors can explore sites geographically, adjust the map view, and choose which kinds of places to display. Map filters include archaeological sites, tourist attractions, museums and other contemporary locations, with options to show only archaeological sites or combine them with modern places. Users can also choose whether to view visible sites alone or include both visible and invisible locations.

The atlas offers several map backgrounds, including the Ancient World Mapping Center, OpenStreetMap, the Digital Atlas of the Roman Empire and Esri WorldImagery.
