Vii Academy, the educational branch of The Vii Foundation, is dedicated to promoting and fostering high-quality journalism in the Majority World and underrepresented communities in G20 countries. Their mission is to provide tuition-free media education and training to aspiring visual journalists, with a focus on media practice, photojournalism, ethics, and media entrepreneurship. By offering real-world training, mentorship, and advanced courses, Vii Academy aims to democratize the information narrative and empower communities to tell their own stories.

Founded by Jennifer Stengaard Gross and Peter Stengaard of Blue Chip Foundation and The William, Jeff, and Jennifer Gross Family Foundation, Vii Academy operates two campuses in Arles, France, and Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. These campuses offer valuable mentorship opportunities between experienced professionals and emerging talents, creating a strong network in the field of visual journalism. The core courses at Vii Academy are 12-week seminars taught in multiple languages, starting with a Level 1 course in photography and progressing to higher levels.
