## Description

Viking Finds is an online project mapping Viking-age archaeological sites and discoveries. Its interactive map brings together 61,919 recorded sites across 14 countries, drawing on national heritage registers and contributions from people who submit finds. Visitors can explore by country, site type, or historical period, with map filters covering categories such as burial mounds, grave fields, ship burials, runestones, hoards, settlements, trading places, and iron-production sites. The site also highlights notable locations and recent discoveries, helping users browse everything from famous ship burials to newly reported treasures and archaeological news. Viking Finds invites users to submit missing sites and participate in its community forum, while pending submissions are identified for review. Additional resources include Viking itineraries, site information, data-source details, and licensing information. A weekly email digest shares new finds, newly mapped sites, and forum highlights. The project describes itself as a living map, currently starting with Norway and growing through research and community submissions.
