## Description

Vintage Creative Therapies is an Adelaide-based organisation that uses visual and performing arts to support older people in exploring life’s potential. Its programs focus on resilience, self-healing, hope, health and wellbeing, particularly during challenging times. The organisation offers art therapy as a creative form of counselling, where making art can help participants gain insight into their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Sessions are available individually or in groups, and no artistic experience is needed.

A key offering is the Vintage Theatre Co-op, a community-run program designed to enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of socially isolated people aged 65 and over. Through its “Don’t Act Your Age” workshops, participants collaborate with Artistic Director Alan Hendry to create and perform original, short theatre works. These performances aim to question stereotypical expectations of older people. Workshops take place at community venues in and around Adelaide. Vintage Creative Therapies also shares information through blogs and offers contact by appointment from its Kurralta Park location.
