## Description

The Violette Family Association (VFA) serves as a vital resource for those descended from François Violette, a pioneering figure in North American history. Established in 1978, the association encourages membership from all descendants, regardless of their surname, including spouses and children. Members gain access to valuable genealogy resources, including the Violette Registry for tracing family roots and expanding the Violette Family Tree.

The association proudly offers several publications, most notably A Violette History, co-authored by three descendants who meticulously researched François's life from his origins in France to his settlement in Van Buren, Maine, and St. Leonard, New Brunswick. This book provides insights into the family's early history, featuring firsthand accounts and essential details about the first generations in North America. Additionally, the VFA produces reports based on deep historical research that illuminate the family's challenges during critical periods, targeting audiences with similar genealogical interests. The VFA remains committed to preserving the Violette legacy and fostering connections among descendants.
