Virginia Western Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education located in Roanoke, Virginia. Since its establishment in 1966, the college has grown to serve over 8,500 students in credit courses and more than 1,200 enrollments in fast-track workforce and continuing education courses. Virginia Western offers a wide range of programs and training options to cater to the diverse needs of its students. Whether you are a first-time student, returning student, or transfer student, the college provides opportunities for both full-time and part-time attendance. The college boasts a faculty of nearly 80 full-time members, supported by over 150 full-time staff members and administrators, as well as approximately 200 part-time faculty. Virginia Western Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and is a member of the Virginia Community College System.
