## Description

Viscinatie provides weekend fishing programs for young people with ADHD and/or autism who have a strong interest in fishing. Weekends run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and take place at different locations. Before a participant joins, Viscinatie considers their fishing preferences and support needs when selecting a suitable weekend and setting. Options range from quiet waters with few other people to a waterside cabin at a campsite with more activity nearby.

Each weekend includes two to four young people, supported by at least two supervisors. Participants must hold a swimming certificate, and the service is not suitable for young people who require one-to-one support. Led by an experienced angler, the program introduces fishing techniques and responsible care for fish and nature. Photography is also used to celebrate participants’ highlights and encourage a positive self-image. Parents are kept informed about how the weekend is going.

The cost may be funded through a personal budget (PGB).
