By collaborating with member organizations, governments, and stakeholders, Vision 2020 Australia develops effective policy solutions aimed at advancing eye health priorities.

The organization actively engages in advocacy, ensuring that the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, along with the wider population, are prioritized in health agendas. They are recognized as leaders in international eye health, partnering with global entities to advance vision care on a broader scale. Vision 2020 Australia also emphasizes awareness-building by disseminating knowledge about eye health issues and engaging the public in meaningful dialogue.
