Vision 2050 | Lima is a Peruvian non-profit association dedicated to promoting sustainable development through education and social support. Our mission is to be a catalyst for change in education and social assistance, fostering measures that address climate change, respect biodiversity, and enable sustainable development for communities, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. As part of our commitment to sustainability, Vision 2050 organizes various initiatives and events. For instance, we celebrate the 'Día Nacional del Café' (National Coffee Day) in Peru on the fourth Friday of August, established through a ministerial resolution in 2008. This celebration aims to promote domestic coffee consumption and ensure sustainable production, generating employment opportunities and resources for coffee-growing families. Furthermore, we collaborate with organizations such as the Centro de Actividades sobre las Abejas y la Biodiversidad (CASAB) in Spain, which raises awareness about the importance of pollinators, including bees and other insects. We also engage with the Reina Kilama Cooperative in Salamanca, Spain, which consists of 160 professional beekeepers dedicated to producing and marketing high-quality apicultural products such as honey and pollen. In addition, Vision 2050 hosts events like the Reto Vision 2050, which encourages entrepreneurship and innovation in environmental matters, as well as the Premio a la Idea Visionaria Ecosostenible (Sustainable Visionary Idea Award), which recognizes proposals for the development and implementation of eco-friendly prototypes or pilot versions of services.
