## Description

**Brand Description: Santas Vivas Project**

The Santas Vivas Project, led by Rebeca Sanmartín Bastida, is a pioneering research initiative based in Madrid, focusing on the exploration of early models of female sanctity during the Counter-Reformation, predating the well-studied figure of Saint Teresa of Jesus. Recognizing the need to illuminate the contributions of lesser-known female saints, the project is dedicated to recovering and analyzing lives of female saints documented in 15th to 17th-century manuscripts, including religious histories and convent texts.

Through its extensive database, the Santas Vivas Project offers insightful publications and resources, promoting a deeper understanding of women's spiritual leadership within historical contexts. The initiative also engages the academic community and the public through conferences, publications, and multimedia content, ensuring that the significance of these women's contributions transcends generations. By correcting historical invisibility, Santas Vivas aims to enrich the discourse surrounding female sanctity and its impact on cultural history.
