## Description

Grad Borl is a historic castle and cultural destination in Dolane, near Cirkulane in northeastern Slovenia. Set among the region’s hills and valleys, it invites visitors to explore its heritage and discover the surrounding area. The castle features spacious inner and outer arcaded courtyards, an outdoor terrace with views of the ancient town of Ptuj, and the richly furnished 17th-century Chapel of the Holy Trinity. Its history includes centuries of aristocratic life and a later period as a resort with guest rooms, a restaurant and an outdoor swimming pool.

Today, Grad Borl welcomes visitors on Fridays, weekends and public holidays, with opening hours varying by season. The site also hosts a changing programme of cultural events, including theatre, concerts and social gatherings. Its restored, modern-equipped spaces are available to rent for weddings, performances, business meetings and other events, either individually or as a complete complex. The castle is heated during winter, enabling year-round rentals. Free-entry days are offered on selected cultural occasions, including Slovenia’s Cultural Day and International Museum Day.
