## Description

Vital Step Martial Arts is a traditional martial arts school based in Willoughby, Sydney, Australia. It offers a holistic approach to training, aiming to support confidence, memory, spiritual well-being and overall fitness. The school teaches rare and traditional forms as originally taught by Dr Tennyson Yiu, a fourth-generation descendant of Wong Fei Hung.

Its Kung Fu classes include Hung Gar, also known as Hung Ga Kuen, a Southern style recognized for strong stances, solid handwork and powerful techniques. Students can learn the Taming the Tiger and Tiger and Crane forms, with attention to their martial applications. The school also teaches other Kung Fu traditions, including Lao Gar, Choi Lee Fut and Mok Gar.

Tai Chi offerings include Yang Style Long Form, also called the 108 Form, Taoist Spiritual Tai Chi and Chen Style Cannon Fist. Presented as both an art and a martial practice, Tai Chi training emphasizes balance, coordination, emotional regulation and strengthening the root.
