## Description

Founded in 1937, the Vlaams Radiokoor is a leading voice in vocal music in Flanders and across Europe. Based in Brussels, the choir places the human voice at the heart of its work, presenting it as a powerful expression of emotion. Its programme spans a wide range of repertoire and formats, from established classics such as Handel’s Messiah to works by Britten, Poulenc, Xenakis and Scelsi, as well as contemporary choral music.

The Vlaams Radiokoor brings audiences concerts and special musical experiences, often in collaboration with orchestras, conductors and other performers. Its calendar includes performances at venues such as Flagey, Bozar and De Bijloke, alongside multimedia events and immersive listening experiences. The organisation also shares stories and insights through programme notes, news, photography and other editorial content, helping audiences explore the music and the people behind it. Visitors can learn about the choir, its singers, conductor and team, and subscribe to updates about upcoming concerts. The Vlaams Radiokoor is an institution of the Flemish Community.
