Vlaggetjesdag, held annually in Scheveningen, is the ultimate celebration of the Dutch New Herring. Scheduled for June 22, the event transforms the harbor into a vibrant festival showcasing the region’s maritime culture. Visitors can immerse themselves in a wide array of activities including the traditional "Admiraalvaren," where numerous boats salute the Admiral, and partake in the Famed Herring Party complete with sing-alongs.

The festival features various exhibitors, sports activities, and even historical games, creating an engaging environment for all ages. Culinary enthusiasts can relish the fresh New Herring, while families can enjoy the children’s activities and antique motor displays, all contributing to a festive atmosphere brimming with nostalgia.
