## Description

Vlot is a free support-discovery service for parents and carers of children with disabilities. Built by parent Andy Pluijmen, it helps families navigate information about schemes, allowances and other assistance that may be relevant to them. Rather than requiring parents to know the names of programmes or which organisation to contact, Vlot guides them through seven short questions about daily life. It then provides an overview of potentially relevant support, with explanations and documents to explore, and indicates which organisation may be the next point of contact.

The service brings information about 12 schemes together and is available in seven languages: Dutch, English, Turkish, Arabic, Ukrainian, Spanish and Italian. Parents can use it without creating an account, and the service is free and ad-free. Vlot also offers example content to help users prepare questions, find relevant documents and discuss their options with organisations. It does not decide whether someone is entitled to support; the responsible organisation assesses applications and confirms the conditions that apply.
