Established in 1973, Vlaams Muziek Theater (VMT) is a prominent operetta company based in Heist-op-den-Berg, Belgium. It is renowned as the most popular operetta group in the Benelux region, having performed in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. Originally known as the Heistse Operette Kring, the company's objective is to showcase an operetta production annually, entirely in Dutch.

Over time, VMT has expanded its repertoire to include not only operetta performances but also a variety of concerts featuring both local and international artists, such as Peter Minich, Karin Pagmar, Jozsef Bozso, and Trixi Teremi from Hungary. In addition to their artistic endeavors, the company also faces financial challenges, relying on the support of donors to sustain their operations.
