## Description

Vale do Ninho Nature Houses offers holiday accommodation in the Schist Village of Ferraria de São João, near Penela in central Portugal. Set among the ruins of 19th-century stone houses and haylofts, the properties were rebuilt using sustainable construction techniques and a focus on energy efficiency. Open since 2014, the renovated houses were designed to provide comfort throughout the year.

Guests can choose from three rental units: the Woodpecker and Noitibó studios, and the independent Cuco house. Each accommodates between three and five people, with a combined maximum capacity of 13. When booked together, the Noitibó and Cuco can be internally connected to create a larger house for up to eight guests. The website also promotes facilities and services, nearby activities, and a gallery to help visitors plan their stay. Direct bookings are available, with rates and discounts based on booking lead time or length of stay; stays of seven nights or more receive a 10% discount.
