## Description

Vocabolario Dantesco is an innovative linguistic project born from the collaboration between the Accademia della Crusca and the CNR Institute Opera del Vocabolario Italiano, established to commemorate the bicentennials of Dante Alighieri in 2015 and 2021. This comprehensive digital resource focuses on enhancing the understanding of Dante's lexicon within the context of his time and its relation to preceding and succeeding generations, as well as the broader Latin and Romance literary traditions. 

Starting with Dante's Commedia, the Vocabolario aims to document the entire vocabulary from the poet's works, functioning similarly to the Tesoro della Lingua Italiana delle Origini (TLIO). Accessible online and continuously updated, it offers free public access to a wealth of linguistic information. A printed version is also planned to complement the digital resource. For scholars and enthusiasts alike, the Vocabolario Dantesco presents a vital tool for in-depth exploration of Dante's language and its significance in Italian literature.
