# Vogelmuseum Museumsanlage - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `vogelmuseum-museumsanlage-ohz.de` ## Description The Museumsanlage Osterholz is a historic museum complex in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Germany, set within the former economic courtyard of the Benedictine monastery of Osterholz. Surrounded by an old monastery wall and mature trees, its park contains six historic buildings and collections exploring regional history, nature and traditional ways of life. The complex includes the Heimatmuseum in the Findorffhaus, built in 1753, where visitors can learn about rural life in the Teufelsmoor during the 18th and 19th centuries. Other museums focus on northern European birds, peat boats and shipping, and hands-on creative activities; the site also features a weaving barn and an old smokehouse. The bird museum presents the diversity of northern European birdlife, while the peat-boat museum introduces the history of peat cutting, trade and transport. Visitor offerings include guided tours, workshops, activities for schools and childcare groups, children’s birthday celebrations, and opportunities to earn a peat-boat skipper’s certificate or a dairy-farming diploma. The museums also host events, concerts, lectures and themed tours, and provide a museum shop and venue rentals. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Libraries and Museums _(under Science and Education)_ - ✈️ Travel and Tourism - ✈️ Tourist Attractions _(under Travel and Tourism)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/people) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/museumsanlageohz) - [youtube](https://youtube.com/channel/UCfwWH8dZwWMk6wqLWHXL6kQ) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idYw9j6kcI/w/180/h/180/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791004800654) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Burnt Umber | #8c2d25 | accent | | Brown Pod | #3f1300 | dark | | Seashell | #f1f1f1 | light | ## Fonts - Lato — asset _(google)_ - Source Sans Pro — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
