## Description

Vogelpark Olching is a volunteer-run bird park located in Olching, about 20 kilometres west of Munich. Operated by the Vogelliebhaberverein Olching und Umgebung e.V., the park spans 20,000 square metres and is home to around 600 birds representing more than 150 species from across the world. Its naturalistic aviaries and open-flight areas are designed to provide suitable habitats and places for the birds to retreat. Visitors can see a diverse collection, including cranes, storks, parrots, pelicans, emus, toucans, keas and rare species. The park focuses on bird welfare, breeding rare species and encouraging interest in birdlife, with notable breeding achievements involving the European pygmy cormorant and red-bellied and Mexican motmots. Open seasonally from Good Friday to the end of November on weekends and public holidays, Vogelpark Olching welcomes individuals, families and groups. Services include guided tours by arrangement, an interactive park map, a virtual 360-degree tour and visitor information. The nonprofit also offers memberships and animal sponsorships, and accepts donations to support the park and care, feeding and breeding of its birds.
