## Description

Voices from the Border is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Patagonia, Arizona, formed after the Women’s March in January 2017. Guided by justice, compassion, and human dignity, it works to support migrants and foster greater understanding of migration. Its mission combines direct humanitarian services in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, with art-centered creative activism and advocacy in Arizona and beyond.

The organization responds to the needs of migrating people, including refugees and deportees, by providing critical assistance such as shelter and free medical care. On the US side of the border, it uses creative activism and community advocacy to help change the narrative about immigration and deepen understanding of migrants’ lived experiences. Its broader vision is to encourage a shift from exclusion to inclusion by raising awareness of how immigration policies affect people and how escalating climate change can influence migration.

Voices from the Border relies on donor generosity to support its services and invites supporters to contribute, learn about its work, and subscribe to its monthly newsletter.
