# volkszaehler.org - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `volkszaehler.org` ## Description Volkszaehler.org offers the solution for everyone looking to have their own smart meter. Since 2010, electricity providers have been required to offer customers "intelligent electricity meters" for new buildings. These Smart Meters allow users to analyze and optimize their energy consumption. The data gathered provides a detailed insight into the user's daily routine, helping them understand their behaviors and habits. Volkszaehler.org allows users to build their Smart Meter themselves using standard microcontroller modules with an approximate cost of EUR 100. This OpenSource project, licensed under GPL, provides all the necessary resources for developers and users in its Wiki. By subscribing to the mailing list, users can actively engage and support the project. With its commitment to transparency and user control, volkszaehler.org is the go-to platform for those interested in monitoring and managing their energy consumption. ## Industries - 🖥 Computers Electronics and Technology - 🖥 Smart Homes and Home Automation _(under Computers Electronics and Technology)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idPrHfHGR0/w/355/h/35/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1780345531466) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Pacific Blue | #0292c0 | accent | | Japanese Laurel | #00a600 | dark | | Shakespeare | #54b6d4 | light | ## Fonts - arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
