Volunteer English Program (VEP) is a unique and student-centered approach to learning English and American cultural understanding. They aim to provide literacy and proficiency in English to immigrants and refugees, regardless of their income or residency status. VEP stands out due to its one-to-one, goal-centered model, which supports students in their language learning journey.

They cater to students speaking any of the 58 languages spoken in Chester County, making their program accessible to a diverse range of individuals. The program offers a flexible schedule, available seven days a week, including weekends, to accommodate busy lives. VEP's community-based and non-classroom approach ensures that learning takes place in locations easily accessible to both work and home.

By offering consistent engagement and support throughout the year, VEP helps students make progress in their language skills. The program is also committed to recruiting, training, and preparing more than 100 new community volunteers as tutors each year. Through their workshops, volunteers can make a direct and positive impact on the lives of those in need.
