Vortex Theatre is Albuquerque's oldest and continually producing black-box theatre, dedicated to providing exceptional live theatre experiences for audiences for over 46 years. In 2023, Vortex Theatre will showcase 10 remarkable plays, most of them premiering in Albuquerque, and brought to life by talented and visionary directors.

This season also introduces a new initiative called Wrinkle Writing, aimed at increasing literacy in schools through playwriting and live theater. Students will write plays based on personal experiences, which will be performed at the Vortex for families at the end of the school year.
