## Description

VoteLGBT is an organization that has been working since 2014 to increase the representation of the LGBT+ community in all areas of society, especially in politics. We believe that diversity is essential for a functioning democracy and that representation should be considered intersectionally, taking into account gender and race issues. We collaborate with other actors in civil society because we believe that the construction of LGBT+ policies should be a collective effort. 
Our work encompasses various areas, including elections, research, and narratives. Since 2014, we have been promoting LGBT+ candidacies and issues in elections, with over 300 LGBT+ candidates registered on our platform in 2022, resulting in 18 successful elections. We conduct strategic research on the LGBT+ population, as we understand that data is crucial for informed policymaking. Our research is innovative and politically and historically significant, as official data on the LGBT+ population is lacking in Brazil. Through videos, campaigns, and lectures, we strive to showcase new narratives that go beyond the prevalent stereotypes of violence and prejudice.
