Výzkumný ústav veterinárního lékařství, v. (VÚVeL) is a public research institution founded by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic. It is professionally engaged in the research and development in the field of veterinary medicine, with a significant focus on applied research.

The studies conducted at VÚVeL cover all types of farm animals, particularly the health control of cattle, pigs, and poultry. However, attention is also given to other animal species.
