## Description

The Swiss Association of Veteran Shooters (VSSV–ASTV) is a national association founded in Zurich in March 1904. It brings together cantonal and regional veteran shooting associations and their members, with the aim of encouraging veterans to remain active in shooting sports as they grow older. The organisation also promotes camaraderie and connection among members beyond the shooting range, including those who can no longer take part in the sport.

The VSSV supports sporting values and traditions and provides active and financial assistance for youth development in shooting. Its programme includes competitions for veteran shooters, such as the annual JU+VE Final, where veterans compete alongside young marksmen and markswomen. A national veteran shooting festival is held every three to five years. The association also offers information and resources through its website, including news, event calendars, competition results, regulations, forms, photographs and an archive of its magazine, “Der Veteran.” Social activities help members stay connected throughout the year.
