# VVAMP-Val Verde Air Monitoring Program - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `vvamp.org` ## Description The Val Verde Air Monitoring Program (VVAMP) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit citizen science group based in Los Angeles County. Its primary mission is to monitor ambient air quality in Val Verde and neighboring communities, including Castaic and Valencia, and to make reliable information accessible to local residents. With a focus on transparency and environmental justice, VVAMP supports community members’ right to know about the air they breathe and advocates for everyone’s right to clean air. VVAMP operates a network of continuous air monitors that measure volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and fine particulate matter (PM2.5). Its monitoring also includes particulate matter during fire season, helping build a broader picture of local air quality. The organization shares public air quality data and reports, offers air-grab sampling information, and provides a way for residents to report odors. Its website also features a PurpleAir network and information about indoor air monitors. Community members can follow VVAMP for updates, join its mailing list, volunteer, or donate to support its work, including monitoring concerns related to the Chiquito Canyon Landfill. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ - 🎗 Community and Society ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550808891652) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/ido1zj8IkJ/w/55/h/55/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793572964251) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Venice Blue | #095494 | accent | | Buddha Gold | #a99b00 | dark | | Gimblet | #bfaa6a | light | ## Fonts - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
