Vwsac, also known as the Women's Sexual Assault Centre, is a dedicated organization that provides essential support, empowerment, and advocacy for women who are survivors of sexualized violence and childhood sexual abuse. Their mission is to put an end to this pervasive issue while offering continuous assistance and care to survivors. With a budget of 1 million dollars, Vwsac offers a wide range of vital services to over 2,500 individuals each year.

They have a Sexual Assault Response Team, Group and Individual Counseling programs, a 24-hour crisis and information line, and an award-winning prevention and education program called Project Respect. In addition, they conduct workshops for parents and friends to raise awareness. Vwsac believes in the importance of partnerships and works closely with community agencies, police detachments, and the Vancouver Island Health Authority to ensure that survivors of sexualized violence receive informed and compassionate assistance wherever they seek help.

They also have a team of 140 dedicated volunteers, 8 committed board members, and 16 passionate staff members who support their services, programs, and events.
