## Description

The Victorian Working Sheepdog Association Inc. (VWSDA) is a membership organisation dedicated to promoting working sheepdogs and sheepdog sport across Victoria. Formed in 1927 to encourage the breeding and training of better working dogs, the Association supports a tradition closely connected to the state’s primary industry. From its early beginnings with 14 members and a handful of trials, VWSDA has grown to nearly 200 members and around 30 trials each year.

VWSDA provides information about regional sheepdog trials and working dog events through its calendar, with dates, locations and entry details for sanctioned events. The website also offers recent results and an archive of past performances, alongside trial entry forms, membership documents, judging guidelines, newsletters and other useful links. Membership is open to experienced handlers, breeders and newcomers, and includes access to trials, insurance coverage, community events and a member newsletter. The Association also supports trial organisers and promotes the welfare of dogs and livestock.
