## Description

WACO is a global network that connects independent freight and logistics companies to support collaboration and international growth. Founded in 1973, it brings together more than 120 members across over 115 countries, providing access to local expertise, shared resources and trusted partners. The network represents more than 21,000 freight professionals and handles approximately 1.85 million shipments annually.

Rather than offering freight services directly, WACO helps its members strengthen their own logistics operations and serve customers across borders. Its support includes collaborative tools, shared knowledge, digital innovation initiatives and opportunities to build partnerships and enter new markets. WACO also operates a mutual self-insurance fund to protect members against insolvency. Prospective members are assessed on factors including financial position, operational history and market standing; the network’s primarily exclusive model generally aims for one partner per country.

Through shared practices, members can improve efficiency, service delivery and customer relationships while maintaining independent businesses.
