The Waco Center For Youth Volunteer Service Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to benefitting the clients at Waco Center for Youth, a long-term psychiatric residential treatment facility for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. The Volunteer Service Council raises funds through various events, such as their golf tournament and holiday wish lists, to improve the services provided to the clients on campus. The Waco Center For Youth offers a comprehensive range of services to address the needs of their clients.


These services include education, individual and group therapy, medication management, medical services, dietary and nutrition services, therapeutic recreation, equine program, challenge course, social and self-regulation skills training, rights protection, spiritual and residential life, and aftercare. The center also collaborates with Axtell ISD for educational purposes, emphasizing the importance of education in their clients' lives. Accredited under the Behavioral Health Care Standards of the Joint Commission, the Waco Center for Youth aims to provide a rich and varied program for the overall well-being of their clients.
