## Description

Wages Brewing Company is a craft brewery and taproom founded in 2016 in West Plains, Missouri, where it became the city’s first craft beer brewery. Its welcoming, community-focused identity is captured in its tagline: “the middle of nowhere never tasted so good.” The company offers craft beer and has hosted events such as live music, trivia, and tastings, bringing local residents and visitors together around its brewery experience.

Wages temporarily closed its Washington Avenue location on October 10, 2024, to focus on crowdfunding a move to a new downtown West Plains location. The planned move is intended to enhance the Wages experience and contribute to the revitalization of the historic Broadway Furniture building. The company’s updates describe Wages Brewing 2.0 as expected in summer 2025, with its crowdfunding campaign launched to support reopening downtown. During the transition, Wages has encouraged supporters to follow its social media and subscribe to email updates for news about the project, events, and its return.
