## Description

WAIF, also known as Whidbey Animals’ Improvement Foundation, is a non-profit organization that was established in 1990 with a strong commitment to assisting Whidbey Island's homeless companion animals. This organization is dedicated to providing essential support such as food, shelter, veterinary care, and nurturing to displaced pets until they can be placed in loving homes. With a focus on improving the lives of both pets and their people, WAIF offers an array of services. Their main offerings include adoption programs for both cats and dogs, allowing interested individuals to provide a forever home to these adorable animals. WAIF also encourages community involvement through volunteering opportunities and various donation options. By volunteering, individuals can actively contribute to the organization's mission and help make a positive impact on the lives of pets in need. Additionally, WAIF operates thrift stores where shoppers can support the cause while finding great deals. For those seeking more information or assistance, resources such as FAQ sections, newsletters, and pet licensing programs are available. With its dedication to the welfare of animals and the community, WAIF continues to be a beacon of hope, working tirelessly to improve the lives of pets and their people on Whidbey Island.
