## Description

Wakatipu Rugby Club is a community rugby club based in Queenstown, New Zealand, and the only rugby club located in the town. Formed in 1953, it has built a proud record as one of the strongest clubs in Otago Country Rugby. The club fields two senior teams, the Premiers and Wanderers, alongside a women’s team and a strong junior programme. Junior offerings include Girls’ Rippa Rugby, providing opportunities for young players to take part in the sport. Set in Queenstown, described by the club as New Zealand’s Adventure Capital, Wakatipu Rugby Club welcomes players seeking a team and a chance to build lasting friendships. The club also shares team results, draws, news and club information through its website, and provides a club store and contact details for visitors and members. Players who have played rugby outside New Zealand must obtain IRB clearance before playing in the country; the club advises them to begin the process with their last club before arriving.
