## Description

The International Institute for Holotropic Breathwork, Transpersonal Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care (IHTS) is led by Dr. Sylvester Walch, a psychotherapist, author and experienced teacher in transpersonal psychology. The institute offers programs centered on Holotropic Breathwork, a guided method combining breathing, music and bodywork to support self-exploration and work with expanded states of consciousness. Its offerings include five-day introductory seminars, multi-year curricula for personal development, psycho-spiritual seminar series, and competency seminars for people interested in facilitating the method. Participants can also explore Vertical Breathing, a related approach to experiential self-inquiry. The institute provides professional training, including a certificate associated with Grof Legacy training, alongside resources for learning about breathwork, psychotherapy, spirituality and personal growth. Its website features event information, guidance on the method, participant accounts, frequently asked questions, articles, interviews, podcasts, videos and publications. Walch’s books include Wege zum Wesentlichen and Vom Ego zum Selbst. Seminars take place at Seminarhaus Holzöstersee near Salzburg, and the institute also offers online group activities and other educational events.
